In an interview, kindergarten teacher Jessica Jones discussed practical strategies she is using during the COVID-19 pandemic. She includes practical self-care and classroom advice.
Here are the following tips she suggest:
Pray (Ask God for grace, strength and wisdom)
Eat breakfast
Exercise
Connect with co-workers (share about how you are feeling and share teaching strategies with each other)
Communicate with parents ( Keep them in the loop); Send home a " What you can do" sheet
Encourage children to identify their feelings (Ex: Feelings chart or discussion)
Foster a class community to help children feel a sense of belonging
